Yes, major institutions now imitate poets, mining them for catch phrases, or at least the structure for their online marketing campaigns. I guess spoken word just needed to get on TV.
I hope Shane Koyczan is getting royalties for this.
Oh, and thanks for making spoken word poetry look terrible in the public sphere. That should really help our credibility. You don’t see me trying to pass myself off as a tuba player or international rights lawyer in public. Next time, do everyone involved a favour, and hire a pro.
